Home Energy Solutions

A Home Energy Solution is an in-home service providing professional energy assessments, air sealing, insulation and other weatherization improvements that help customers reduce energy use and save on heating costs. This program is supported by Home Energy Solutions, the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and administered by CL&P, UI and the natural gas companies. Currently for just $75, qualified customers are eligible for the valuable services available in this program.

Services

• Blower door test for structural air leaks and corrective sealing*
• Heating and cooling system ductwork test for air leaks and corrective sealing*
• Outfitting your house with up to 25 energy-efficient light bulbs (4 standard and 10 specialty CFLs)
• Hot water saving devices
• Rebates up to $500 for qualified Central A/C systems
• Rebates totaling up to $200 for replacing certain inefficient appliances
• Rebates for insulation upgrades
• Energy efficiency, tips, tools and review of work done during visit
