When you pay your electric bill, a small portion of it goes into the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, a statewide program aimed at increasing energy efficiency through cost-effective programs that pay back.

A portion of the funds from the CT Energy Efficiency Fund are used for the Home Energy Solutions program, the division of the Energy Efficiency Fund focused on improving residential energy efficiency to help homeowners save money on utility costs, while reducing carbon emissions and creating jobs. Eco Smart Solutions has been authorized to service your home through this program.

There are no income restrictions for this program nor any size limitations on the homes! (However, participation depends on last date of service--18 months)
Everyone who has an electric account and hasn't had an audit done in the last 18 months qualifies and it only costs $75 while the funding lasts - If you heat with oil, propane or wood we highly recommend you act quickly.  As funding changes (dwindles) the co-pay could become $300 instead of $75.

The home efficiency upgrade is a pretty straight forward affair - We find the leaks in your home and duct work and seal every one of them.  This is the #1 way to reduce your energy bill!!

We will also change 25 lights from regular bulbs to CFL's (15 regular and 10 specialty) and install water saving devices.

Eco Smart analyzes your appliances and your electric usage to find ways of reducing your energy bills.

We explain special financing programs made available by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund for energy efficient upgrades including: New heating and cooling systems, insulation, solar, geothermal and windows.

We check insulation levels and leave homes heated with gas or electricity a $.50 sq/ft rebate towards upgrading your attic and wall insulation. This is the #2 most effective way to save on your heating and cooling costs!
